On average, NBA home games brought over 17 thousand people to NBA arenas per game in the last few seasons, until declining in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With an average of 17,884 attendees, the 2016/17 season established a new record for the league in terms of attendance since the 2006/07 league. The Chicago Bulls had the highest average regular season home attendance amongst all NBA franchises in the 2021/22 season - about 20,900 spectators attended home games of the team during that season. The Philadelphia 76ers, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Miami Heat are amongst the teams with the highest average regular season home attendance in the NBA.
